Do not click links or open attachments unless you verify. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to ort.s am nc. ov Lauren, Thank you for the quick response in getting these drafts sent to us! There are a few comments I have, but really nothing major. Looks like a few of my comment may be due to the Draft coming from a standard template used before issuing the actual permit for all permitted facilities. Below are my comments for Permit No. NCS000330. • On the cover page it lists our facility as one that is engaged in "research and development, manufacturing and packaging of herbicides, algaecides, etc." Our facility SIC code in regards to this Permit is 3341. Which is manufacturer of nickel based -based and titanium -based alloys, etc... • The topography map on page 2 lists "ATI Allvac" as the facility name. I will put in the request next week, but the facility is currently known as ATI Specialty Materials -Monroe Plant. • Can we have the Period Monitoring Schedule on page 9 changed to match the facility inspection schedule mentioned on page 5? Was looking to have both schedules running From January to June and July to December for both monitoring and facility inspections if possible? • There is a slight discrepancy on record retention on page 14 it lists retention requirement as 3 years and on page 21 it states 5 year retention. We have always been required to keep 5 years so we are going to meet the requirement whichever way you plan to go, but just wanted some clarification on which one is the requirement for the new permit. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I will send the comments for the Bakers Permit #NCS000329 next week. Here are your draft permits for the NCS000329 and NCS000330 facilities. Our permit template has been updated and a list of the changes is included in a cover letter in the attachment. Besides a few updates to impaired water parameters, the basic information is the same; the template will just look different compared to your old permit. Starting today (4/1/19), you will have a comment period of 30 days and I will be able to answer questions and address any concerns. The permit draft will also be sent to the Mooresville Regional Office Stormwater Contact, who will be giving me their comments simultaneously. The draft will be going through a public notice process during the same 30 days (approx.). The public notice process is expected to start next week. Once the public notice process ends, I will receive an affidavit. By this time your and the MRO Contact's comments should have been addressed and the permit can be issued as soon as I have the affidavit. Let me know if you have any questions, Lauren From: Mercer, Tyler <TVIer.Mercer@ATlmetals.com> Sent: Monday, April 01, 2019 8:07 AM To: Garcia, Lauren V <lauren.garcia@ncdenr.gov>; Moore, James <james.moore@ncdenr.gov> Cc: Hinkle, Joe <Joe.Hinkle@ATlmetals.com>; McManus, Mike <Mike.McManus@ATlmetals.com> Subject: [External] RE: [Attachment Warning!!!] [EXTERNAL EMAIL]: NCS000329 and NCS000330 Permit Renewal/Updated Information External email. I am working on renewing your individual stormwater permits (Permit No. NCS000329 and NCS000330). The permits are drafted, but there is some information I am required to ask you for to (1.) confirm that the information I have is correct and (2.) make sure the permit adequality serves the needs of the facility. What I need from you: • A spreadsheet summarizing all of the monitoring data that has been collected since the effective date of the current permit; • A verification that the information in the renewal application is still is still complete and correct; and • An explanation of any operational changes since the renewal application was submitted. The following link will take you to an online search box where you will be able to enter your permit number and review the facilities information to make sure it is correct: https://reports.ncdenr.org/BOE/Open Document/1703191515/CrystalReports/viewrpt.cwr?id=25212&apsuser=BIMS U &apspassword=blOMs cr%28ddnri59%29&apsauthtype=secEnterprise&cmd=EXPORT&EXPORT FMT=U2FPDF%3AO. Today I am emailing the draft permits to the Mooresville Regional Office Stormwater Contact for a 30-Day comment period and beginning the public notice process during the same 30-day period. Once I have the above listed information, I can email you the permit drafts for your 30-day comment period. • The public notice process is expected to start next week.
