Subject: Request for Additional Information
Stormwater Permit No. SW6200301
Willow Lakes Sports Complex Phase II (PN 86271)
Cumberland County
Dear Mr. Miles:
The Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources (DEMLR), received a Stormwater
Management Permit Application for the subject project on March 16, 2020. A review of that
information has determined that the application is not complete. The following information is
needed to continue the stormwater review:
1. The Supplement EZ form shows the design storm as 6". However, the water quality
design storm is 1" in non -coastal regions and the design storm used for the 10-year peak
flow event was 7.91 ". Why was 6" listed as the design storm?
2. The grass swale detail on Sheet C4.01 shows the side slopes as 2: 1. The maximum
allowable side slope for vegetated conveyances on low density projects is 3:1 [15A
NCAC 02H .1003(2)(c)(i)].
3. Please provide calculations that show that the specified rip rap aprons will be sufficient to
prevent erosion during the 10-year storm.
4. Provide pdfs of all revisions, 2 hardcopies of revised plan sheets, and 1 hardcopy of other
documents. Please only submit those plan sheets which have been revised as a result
of these comments. Pdfs must be uploaded using the form at:
https:Hedocs.deq.nc.gov/Forms/SW_Project Submittal
Please note that this request for additional information is in response to a preliminary review.
The requested information should be received by this Office prior to August 7, 2020, or the
application will be returned as incomplete. The return of a project will necessitate resubmittal
of all required items, including the application fee. Please reference the State assigned project
number SW6200301 on all correspondence.
