SITE IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE SITE WILL INCLUDE A TWO-STORY MEDICAL OFFICE, PAVED PARKING LOT, AND STORMWATER MANAGEMENT FACILITIES FOR THE SITE. THE SITE IS 1.5 ACRES AND CONSTRUCTION FOR THE IMPROVEMENTS WILL IMPACT APPROXIMATELY 1.5 ACRES OF THE SITE. BECAUSE THIS CONSTRUCTION DISTURBS MORE THAN 1 ACRE, EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL AND STORMWATER PERMITS FROM NC DENR WILL BE REQUIRED. SPOIL MATERIAL FROM THE EXCAVATED AREAS WILL BE REMOVED AND DISPOSED OF AT AN APPROVED OFF -SITE LOCATION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL APPLY FOR AND OBTAIN ALL DISPOSAL PERMITS AS REQUIRED BY LAW. HARDWARE CLOTH 6 GRAVEL INLET PROTECTION AND TEMPORARY SEDIMENT FENCE MEASURES WILL BE PLACED AS REQUIRED AND AT STRATEGIC LOCATIONS TO INHIBIT THE FLOW OF STORMWATER RUNOFF ONTO THE SITE AND PROHIBIT THE FLOW OF SEDIMENT OFF SITE. A SEDIMENT SKIMMER BASIN WILL BE TEMPORARILY INSTALLED AT THE AREA SHOWN FOR FUTURE USE AS THE SITE'S STORMWATER BIORETENTION BASIN AT THE SITE'S SOUTH SIDE. DURING CONSTRUCTION, THE AREA WILL BE USED AS A SKIMMER SEDIMENT BASIN, AND ONLY AFTER THE MAJORITY OF THE SITE HAS BEEN STABILIZED, WILL LATER BE CONVERTED TO THE BIO-RETENTION BASIN. SOILS THE SOILS AT THE SITE ARE CLASSIFIED AS FACEVILLE LOAMY SAND. THE DRAINAGE CLASS IS DESCRIBED AS "WELL DRAINED" WITH A DEPTH TO WATER TABLE OF MORE THAN 80 INCHES. THE SOILS ARE IN HYDROLOGIC SOIL GROUP B WHICH HAS A MODERATE INFILTRATION RATE WHEN THOROUGHLY WET. THE CAPACITY OF THE MOST LIMITING LAYER TO TRANSMIT WATER (KSAT) IS LISTED AS "MODERATELY HIGH TO HIGH (0.57 TO 1.98 IN/HR). IN ADDITION, AN EVALUATION OF THE SOIL PROPERTIES AND HYDRAULIC CONDUCTIVITY WAS CONDUCTED ON SITE BY A LICENSED SOIL SCIENTIST. TWO BORINGS WERE ADVANCED TO DEPTHS OF 8 AND 10 FEET. SEASONAL HIGH WATER TABLE (SHWT) WAS ENCOUNTERED AT DEPTHS RANGING FROM 90 TO 112 INCHES BELOW THE GROUND SURFACE. TWO COMPACT CONSTANT HEAD PERMEAMETER (CCHP) TESTS WERE CONDUCTED AT DEPTHS OF 2.0 FEET ABOVE THE SHWT LEVEL THE MEASURED KSAT RATES RANGED FROM 0.146 TO 0.220 INCHES PER HOUR PLANNED SEDIMENTATION AND EROSION CONTROL PRACTICES 1. SEDIMENT FENCE: DESCRIPTION, CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS, AND MAINTENANCE AS PER DETAIL(S). 2. GROUND STABILIZATION OF ALL OTHER AREAS SHALL BE ACHIEVED WITHIN 14 DAYS OF TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT CESSATION OF LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITIES. MAINTENANCE PLAN 1. ALL EROSION CONTROL PRACTICES WILL BE CHECKED DAILY FOR STABILITY AND OPERATION AND FOLLOWING EVERY RUNOFF -PRODUCING RAINFALL. PROVIDE TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT SEEDING AFTER CLEARING AND GRUBBING OPERATION IF THE AREA IS TO REMAIN UNDISTURBED FOR MORE THAN 14 DAYS (7 DAYS ON PERIMETER AREAS AND SLOPES 3:1 OR GREATER). 9. CONTRACTOR SHALL INSPECT ALL DEVICES DAILY AND AFTER EVERY RAIN AND SHALL MAINTAIN THE DEVICES ACCORDING TO THE NORTH CAROLINA EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PLANNING AND DESIGN MANUAL. 10. PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION AND CONVERSION OF SEDIMENT BASIN TO BE USED AS A STORMWATER MANAGEMENT FACILITY, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF TRAPPED SEDIMENT AND CONFORM TO REQUIREMENTS UNTIL ESTABLISHMENT OF STABILIZED SURFACES. 11. AFTER DISTURBED AREAS ARE STABILIZED, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE THE TEMPORARY DEVICES AND PROPERLY DISPOSE OF THE TRAPPED SEDIMENT.
