Page 6 of 6 Lawyer, Mike From: Gordon Rose [gordon.rose@callsignengineers.com] Sent: Friday, October 26, 2012 8:48 AM To: Lawyer, Mike Cc: Heath Wadsworth Subject: Buffalo Lake Road Attachments: Stormwater Basin.docx Mike, When we discussed the situation at the infiltration pond for the Dollar General on Buffalo Lake Road, you had expressed concern about the matting that had been placed in the bottom of the pond. As we discussed, this was not a part of the design but was an oversight on the part of the contractor. You further indicated that if the matting had not received seeding then it could remain in place as long as the matting itself did not cause clogging. However, if the matting had received seeding, then the matting and the seeding would need to be removed. 1 spoke to our client about this to determine what had been done. He could not tell me definitively whether the contractor had placed seeding in the bottom of the basin or not. Therefore, he made the decision to completely remove the matting from the bottom of the basin. I have attached a photograph of the basin now that the matting has been removed from the bottom. Please let us know how to proceed from here with regards to the certification. Do we need to submit a revised certification or will this email suffice? Thanks for your help. Gordon A.
