PROJECT DESCRIPTION THIS PROJECT INVOLVES THE SITE DEVELOPMENT OF A 9100 SQUARE -FOOT DOLLAR GENERAL STORE AND PARKING LOT. THE EXISTING SITE IS CURRENTLY BEST CHARACTERIZED AS AN EXISTING SPARSELY FORESTED PARCEL WITH ABOUT A 5% GRADE DOWNHILL FROM WEST TO EAST. SITE IMPROVEMENTS WILL INCLUDE THE CONSTRUCTION OF A STEEL BUILDING WITH PAVED PARKING LOT, LANDSCAPING AND STORMWATER MANAGEMENT FACILITIES. APPROXIMATELY 1.6 ACRES OF THE SITE'S LAND WILL BE DISTURBED AS SHOWN WITHIN THE LIMITS OF CONSTRUCTION. BECAUSE THIS CONSTRUCTION DISTURBS MORE THAN 1 ACRE, AN EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL PERMIT FROM NC DENR WILL BE REQUIRED. BECAUSE THIS SITE IS WITHIN THE TOWN OF ABERDEEN, SUBMITTAL AND APPROVAL OF STORMWATER MANAGEMENT MEASURES WILL BE REQUIRED BY THE TOWN OF ABERDEEN AS PER ORDINANCE. IMPORT AND/OR EXISTING SELECT MATERIAL FOR BUILDING PADS AND PAVEMENT BASE COURSES SHALL BE PLACED AND/OR SHAPED AS INDICATED AND SURFACED WITH NEW ASPHALT PAVEMENT, CONCRETE CURB 8 GUTTER, AND CONCRETE PAVEMENT. ALL OTHER DISTURBED AREAS WILL BE SEEDED/SODDED, LANDSCAPED, AND VEGETATIVELY STABILIZED AS REQUIRED. GROUND STABILIZATION OF ALL OTHER AREAS SHALL BE ACHIEVED WITHIN 14 DAYS OF TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT CESSATION OF LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITIES. MAINTENANCE PLAN 1. ALL EROSION CONTROL PRACTICES WILL BE CHECKED DAILY FOR STABILITY AND OPERATION AND FOLLOWING EVERY RUNOFF -PRODUCING RAINFALL. CONTRACTOR SHALL INSPECT ALL DEVICES DAILY AND AFTER EVERY RAIN AND SHALL MAINTAIN THE DEVICES ACCORDING TO THE NORTH CAROLINA EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PLANNING AND DESIGN MANUAL. 10. PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION AND CONVERSION OF SEDIMENT BASIN TO BE USED AS A STORMWATER MANAGEMENT FACILITY, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF TRAPPED SEDIMENT AND CONFORM TO REQUIREMENTS UNTIL ESTABLISHMENT OF STABILIZED SURFACES. 11. AFTER DISTURBED AREAS ARE STABILIZED, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE THE TEMPORARY DEVICES AND PROPERLY DISPOSE OF THE TRAPPED SEDIMENT. CONTRACTOR SHALL STABILIZE THE AREAS DISTURBED DURING THE REMOVAL OPERATION BY PLACING PERMANENT VEGETATION IN ALL DISTURBED AREAS.
