TOWN OF RANLO
The Town of Ranlo Stormwater Department is committed to full compliance with the Clean Water Act
requirements to ensure our local water resources remain free of harmful pollutants. Our goal is to
educate citizens, the general public, school aged children, and the business community (including
contractors and developers) on stormwater pollution prevention solutions and techniques to protect our
storm drainage systems, creeks, and rivers in order to improve the quality of our most precious resource.

CITY LIMITS AREA: 1.80 Sq Miles
The Town of Ranlo’s system is comprised of a network of open ditches, curbs, storm drain pipes,
wet weather ditches, & streams. The maintenance crew maintains all stormwater drainage
infrastructure within the right of way of the Town streets and within easements dedicated to
the Town.

Education
The Town of Ranlo mailed out the leaflet below to all residents to help educate the public about
good stormwater practices during the preceding year. We also posted a Do's and Don’ts list of
good stormwater practices on the town's website. The town also partnered with Gaston County
Natural Resources to hold education and training at all county schools to supplement the
environmental education curriculum.
