In summary, the contract lab reported the analytical results for Cresols and Phenol as ug/L. When filling the 1=orm SWU-246-051 100, these results were not converted to mg/L, the units shown on the form, and therefore results of the analysis were overstated. Note that all parameters were within the compliance limits and are supported by the enclosed contract lab analysis (enclosed Order ID: 191 1258). Although only page 2 of the Form SWU-246-051 100 was revised, the entire package for the monitoring period (August 1, 2019 — January 31, 2020) is being resubmitted for the sake of completeness. We helieve that the corrected report will meet with your approval. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Tim Riddick at (252) 585-3819. Sincerely, A / . VV ✓ v Ronald E?. Internal Standard A known amount of standard added to a lest portion of a sample as a reference for evaluating and controRing the precision and bias of the applied analytical method. LCS (Laboratory Control Sample) A sample matrix, free from the anafyles of interest, spiked wills verlfled known amounts of analytos or a material containing knrn-m and verified amounts of analylos. M DL Method Detection Limltis Is an estimate of the minimum amount of a substance that an analytical' prncess can rellably detect Method Blank A sample of a matrix simllar tolhe batch associated samples (when available) that Is free from the analytos of interest and is processed simutatanously with and under the same conditions as samples. MSIMSD (Matrix Spike or Matrix Spike Duplicate) A sample prepared by adding a known mass of target anafyta to a specified amount of matrix sample for which an independent estimate of target analytos conceniratlon Is available. Malflx Spikes are used, for example, to determine the eflect of the matrix on a method's recovery efficiency. RL (Reporting Limit) The minimum levels, concentrations, or quantities of a target analyte that can be reported within a specified degree of confidence. Generally, this number Is equal to or just abovo the lowest calibration standard run with the analytical batch. RPD (Relative Percent Difference) The difference between a sot of duplicates or sample spike duplicates. Surrogate A substance with propertios that mimic the analylo of interest. It Is unlikely to be found in onuironrnonial samples and Is added to them for quality control purpos as In Org anics. Reportsed8r.: 191r25a Pogo 3 of 3 Georgia Pacific P.O.
