MSIMSD (Matrix Spike or Matrix Spike Duplicate) A sample prepared by adding a known mass of target anelyte to a specified amount of matrix sample for which an Independent estimate of target analyzes concentration Is available. Matrix Spikes are used, for example, to determine the effect of the matrix on a method's recovery efficiency, Calibration Verfication (Initial, Continuing, or Final) A standard analyzed at different times to verify that the Initial callbratlon curve Is still valld. , Holding Time The maximum time that samples may be held prior to analysis and still be considered valid or not compromised.
