In accordance with your application for a discharge permit received on January 3, 2017 we are
forwarding herewith the subject certificate of coverage (COC) to discharge under the subject state —
NPDES general permit. This permit is issued pursuant to the requirements of North Carolina General .
Statute 143-2 15.1 and the Memorandum of Agreement between North Carolina and the US
Environmental Protection Agency dated October 15, 2007 (or as subsequently amended).
Please take notice that this certificate of coverage is not transferable except upon approval of the
Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources. The Division of Energy.. Mineral and Land
Resources may require modification or revocation and reissuance of the certificate of coverage.
This permit does not affect the legal requirements to obtain other permits which may be required by
the Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources, the Coastal Area Management Act, or any other
federal or local government permit that may be required.
In addition to your application for coverage under NCG070000, we also received your request to
rescind coverage under NCG020000. In accordance with your request, your coverage under
Certificate of Coverage NCG020789 has been rescinded effectively immediately.
Operating a treatment facility, discharging wastewater or discharging specific types of stormwater to
waters of the State without valid coverage under the appropriate NPDES permit is against federal and
state laws and could result in fines. If your facility begins mines dewatering activities, or if
stormwater is discharged from the sediment pond on your property, your facility would again require
coverage under NCG020000. In that case, you should notify this office immediately.
