I just talked to Marcus, and these sites seem to be confused. I can't remember which folder I gave you, but it had the
ownership change for one of them. The other is supposed to be the Matthews site (and I believe I couldn't find that
file).
Basically, we need to make sure that one permit is correct for Mallard Creek (which is at 575 E. Mallard Creek Church
Road, rather than 545) and belongs to Lane (no longer Rea Contracting), and the other belongs to the Matthews site.
Come see me when you have a few minutes to figure out what we do next.
Marcus, I'll phone you to follow up when we figure out how to sort it out and update the on-line database to get you the
correct COCs.

Yes, I saw the eight confirmations come in.
For Mallard Creek, NCG160088 still shows Rea Contracting LLC as the owner, and it has a different address (575 Mallard
Creek Church in Charlotte) than NCG160083 (545 E Mallard Creek Road in Charlotte). It looks like the Ownership change
for NCG160088 we have on record in the file never got entered into our database — we wull correct that. However, you

said that NCG160088 is u_nnece_ssary,? Do you mean you don't need that permit for the 575 Mallard Creek Church
location anymore?
Also, are you saying that the address for NCG160083 is incorrect (should be 1011 Sam Newell Rd.)? If these are the
same place, why are the addresses different?

I have completed the COC renewals and printed a COC for each facility. Please confirm on your end that all are
accounted for. I have two renewals for mallard creek NCG160083 and NCG160088. NCG160088 is not necessary, the
correct one is NCG160083. However, based on the past COC numbers.

NC DENR's Stormwater Permitting Program has reissued NPDES Stormwater General Permit NCG160000 (Asphalt
Paving), which became effective October 1, 2014. Your Certificate of Coverage (COC) is ready for renewal and download
from our website. Please follow the instructions below and be sure to print your new COC for your records.
1. Go to the following URL link: http://go.ncdenr.gov/sw-erenewal
2. Enter your COC Permit Number and unique PIN:

Unique PIN number: 13669
3. Scroll Down and update the e-mail address information if necessary for a renewal confirmation. These fields are
pre -filled with information we have on file about the Owner (including the e-mail, if we had one). "However, if the
confirmation should be e-mailed to someone else instead of to the e-mail in that box, PLEASE REVISE THAT E-MAIL
ADDRESS." You are unable to change the information in the other fields. Please contact us if something is incorrect.
4. Click "SUBMIT." A confirmation screen should follow.
5. On this screen, click the button "DISPLAY CONFIRMATION DETAILS." Clicking this button will automatically generate
an e-mail to the address you provided on the previous screen. It will also send you to a screen that will display details of
your renewal.
6. IMPORTANT: THIS IS WHERE YOU PRINT YOUR COC. On this screen, you must print a copy of the Certificate of
Coverage for your facility by clicking on "Print COC." It is your responsibility to generate this COC for your own records —
we do not generate a duplicate copy centrally during this process.
By following these steps, you will have a record of continued coverage under the new general permit, as of October 1,

This Office is in receipt of your recent submission of the Stormwater Discharge Outfall Annual Data
Summary for the semi-annual stormwater conducted in 2010 at above noted Rea Contracting facilities and
we thank you for this data.
Our review of the data noted one issue with the Stormwater Discharge Outfall Annual Data Summary. For
total petroleum hydrocarbons and total suspended solids you noted "BRL for some of the sampling results.
This notation was most likely used because these parameters were "not detected" above the detection
level established by the analytical laboratory. The notation of "BRL" does not allow the Division to
determine if the analyte in question was detected above or below the benchmark value noted in the permit.
To rectify this issue, you should report a numerical value for each parameter that must be monitored under
the General permit. For those parameters that are not detected above the detection level established by
the analytical laboratory you would report < and the associated detection level reported by the laboratory.
For example, if the analytical laboratory established a detection level of 5.0 ni for oil and grease but
noted that it was not detected in your sample, you would report < 5.0 mg/L on your Stormwater Discharge
Outfall Annual Data Summary.
