Belmont, NC
Jeff,
It looks like this one is on our schedule for 2020. Carus should continue to follow the conditions of their expired permit,
which is considered administratively continued. We apologize for the lengthy delay, but we have been able to pick up
quite a few renewals in the past year and expect to continue catching up.
Regards,

External email. Do not click links or open attachments unless you verify. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to
report.spam@nc.gov
it was sent to Robert Patterson in 2016 and again in Sept 2017. Robert received the electronic version and then
requested a hard copy with original signature. on Jan 18 2018 Robert sent me an email stating that he received
the hard copy but it would be some time before it was renewed due to the backlog. see attached electronic
version and let me know if you need anything else. please renew the permit at your earliest convenience. I
noticed that you recently sent them an annual invoice so it must be in the system. thanks for your prompt
assistance with issuance of a new permit.

Good morning Robert; hope you are well. I was just checking in on the renewal for Carus; their stormwater
permit was to renew this year. I checked in with you back in March and you said that reminder letters were
running behind. In March we prepared a cover letter and renewal application for the client. I think they signed
the forms and mailed it in to your office. attached are the two newly signed forms in case you did not receive
it.
please reply to acknowledge receipt of the permit application and let me know when the new permit will be
issued and if there are any changes. site personnel have been continuing their best management practices and
they recently performed a stormwater sampling event. now that they installed a larger stormwater basin, the
outflow from the basin does not occur very often.
