Mr. Hamblin, This a quick recap of items 3 and 4 of my inspection report that we discussed in our conversation a few minutes ago. The secondary containment at the Hazardous waste/flammables storage area was damaged in a few locations (IMG_9184). The main thing to do here is to fix the damaged areas, and give the entire secondary containment area a thorough inspection/evaluation. Documentation of those efforts should be added to the SWPPP. The area where the berm was removed (IMG_9166) was in question due to the staining in the area and difficulty to evaluate gradient. The staining suggested that a spill inside that containment (if in close proximity to the berm) may flow around and out of that area. If the gradient in the area would prevent any release in the case of a spill, an engineered evaluation of that secondary containment area, and the gradient in it would be the best way to address this issue. All efforts should be documented and included in the SWPPP. Thank you for your time, and please let me know if there are any further questions about the report.
