On September 25, 2019 Roberto Scheller of the Mooresville Regional Office conducted a
reconnaissance inspection of decanting from Cell #3 and discharge via outfall #007. At the time of
inspection filter equipment was not in operation and not discharging via outfall #007.
Outfalls 002A and 002 have been removed and no longer discharge.
Outfall #007 reviewed and not discharging at time of inspection.
Outfall #006 reviewed and not discharging at time of inspection.
Please note that in accordance with your NPDES Permit (NC0004774) Part I, B(4.),(Outfall 007 - Ash
Pond Dewatering), Footnotes: 4. "The Permittee shall continuously monitor TSS consenteration when
the dewatering process commences (and one or more pumps is operating), and the dewatering
pump(s) shall be shut off automaticlly when the 15-minute running average TSS exceeds one half the
Daily Maximum TSS limit."
