Bartospfi %+ Uta` �q40& Office of Archives and History Deputy Secretary Kevin Cherry SUBJECT: I-485 Express Lanes, from I-77 to US 74, I-5507, WBS No. 436091.1, Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, ER 13-2793 Thank you for your memorandum of November 18, 2013, concerning the above project. The proposed project includes the construction of one additional lane, in each direction, to I-485 within the existing median. The project also includes three sections of noise walls. We have conducted a review of the project and are aware of no historic resources that would be affected by the project as proposed. Therefore, we have no comment and no further identification work is recommended. However, should the project be revised to include new right-of-way or additional noise walls, further review will be required. The above comments are made pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation's Regulations for Compliance with Section 106 codified at 36 CFR Part 800.
