Also present during the inspection were Jon Jones (ORC), Stephanie Shoemaker, and Rian McMorris, all with Sanderson Farms. All the treatment and disposal system components included in permit # WQ0034380 were inspected and onsite monitoring data and operation and maintenance records were reviewed. The facilities were found to be in compliance with the permit. The treatment system components appeared to be operating adequately and well maintained. At the time of the inspection maintenance of the anerobic lagoon cover was being performed. The lagoons appeared to be in good condition have adequate freeboard. The spray fields were toured and appeared to be in good condition. Irrigation was not occurring at the time of the inspection because the effluent line to zone 1 required repair and the facility was waiting for replacement parts. Bailed hay from the spray fields was being temporarily stored in a few locations along the edges of the spray field. A contractor was onsite at the time of the inspection to begin removing the hay. NDMRs, NDARs, and GW-59s for Nov. 2018 and April 2019 were spot checked and found to be complete and consistent with data on lab reports and operational logs. GW monitoring data have been below 2L GW standards since the last compliance inspection in August 2018.
