PROJECT NARRATIVE
for
Carolina Shores — East Park
Carolina Shores, North Carolina
August 2019
Carolina Shores East Park is located at 970 Thomasboro road SW, approximately 700 feet
North from the intersection of Lighthouse Cove Loop & Thomasboro road SW in Carolina
Shores. The Tax ID number for the property is 2410003301. The total project area is 2.04
acres, and is currently undeveloped.
WASTEWATER COLLECTION (SEWER)
The proposed Park will have a pavilion with 2 restrooms. The total flow allocation has been
determined at 500 gpd.
It will consist of a duplex grinder station and forcemain as well as the gravity lines for the
facility. The duplex grinder station will receive wastewater from the building via a 4" gravity
service line. Upon satisfactory completion of construction, all portions of the sewer system
will be owned and maintained by the developer.
The grinder station will pump wastewater via 115 LF of 1-1/4-inch forcemain to the point of
connection on Thomasboro road SW. The point of connection is a permitted 8-inch forcemain
along Thomasboro Rd SW that is owned by Brunswick County. A portable emergency
generator will be utilized to supply power to the lift station in the event of a power failure.
