The swales are very shallow at 12 to 15 inches deep, maximum, and are expected to receive limited flow from runoff in
most cases. Limiting the slopes to 2:1 rather than 3:1 also limits the area of disturbance for certain swale locations along
the edge of the project limits.

Just a couple of issues with the application that need to be resolved before I finalize your permit.
Regarding stormwater, the grass-lined “V” swale on Sheet SD2 is shown as 2:1. 15A NCAC 02H .1003(2) requires
vegetated slopes no steeper than 3:1. Please provide some reasoning why you are building 2:1 slopes and how
you will ensure the banks (soil and veg) will remain stable.
Plan sheet legends refer to details 3&4 on sheet EC7 (regarding pump arounds) but we did not receive plan
sheet EC7 and cannot review the details. Please provide a copy of EC7.
