Please reference your Individual Permit application of January 22, 2009 to discharge fill
material into approximately 0.72 acres of Department of Army (DA) jurisdictional wetlands to
facilitate construction of the expansion of the existing Scotchman 421 Truck Stop, at 1610 US
Highway 421 North, northeast of intersection with US Highway 117/State Route 133,
Wilmington, New Hanover County, North Carolina.

This notice is in response to an email request made by your consultant, Southern
Environmental Group, Inc., on August 4, 2009 to withdraw your application for DA
authorization. It is our understanding that you no longer wish to pursue these impacts at this
time; therefore, your application is considered withdrawn and this file closed.
