Subject: Clarification of Permitted Activities in Conservation Easements at Piedmont Triad
International Airport; USACE Action ID 200021655; DWR File 00-0846
Pursuant to our discussions in your office on April 17, 2015, the Piedmont Triad Airport
Authority (PTAA) is requesting written clarification that the removal of objects of natural
growth and other obstructions that exceed the heights approved by the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) from Conservation Easement tracts at PTIA do not require additional
regulatory coordination. Tree -felling within the Conservation Easement will be conducted in
compliance with the subject permits, the recorded Conservation Declaration, and
applicable/updated Vegetation Management Plan(s).
