Doing well here and I hope you are as well. I may have misinterpreted how DWR defines normal pool elevation on the application. Full pool is listed at 1710' but normal pool (in the summer when it's at its annual highest) is 1703'. My understanding is that the lake is rarely above 1703' and that the 1710' elevation is the maximum the lake could ever rise to. You can check this out: http://fontana.uslakes.info/Level/ For the below normal pool area, I used the 1703' reference and estimate about 410 LF x 2' +/- horizontally from the bank and rounded up to 900 sf. Above the 1703' elevation, I estimated about 8.5' horizontally from the bank and over 410 LF, that's 3485 sf, rounded up to 3600 sf. We'd like to do the work when the lake level is down below the proposed stone base, which historically would be anytime between September 1 and May 1. If we can get the permits in hand this fall, we will likely get bids and try to get the work done before winter. I hope that answers your questions. Please call me when you're back in the office if you'd like to discuss — I have a meeting tomorrow until about 10 but am otherwise available. I just took a quick look at the plan for the Brosnan shoreline stabilization and it looks good. Can you provide me with the dimensions of the work? Basically the footprint of the impacts above and below the full pond elevation and make sure they match square footage on items 8 & 9 of the application. For example, 410' x 9' for impact below (based on figures). Also, is the work going to be done when the lake is down? If not, please provide details of how you plan to minimize turbidity. I'm in the field all day today, but if you have questions feel free to call. Thanks.
