submitting Fast Track Sewer submittal for approval.
This project involves the conversion of an existing garage into a Consignment shop with a 16'xl2'
addition added to the rear of the garage. The addition will include a kitchen, bathroom and a washer/dryer
area. Per previous discussions with William Pinnix, P.E. of Brunswick County engineering, we are
designing the grinder pump station with a daily flow of 210 GPD. It is planned for a staff of 2 to operate
this business.
Please find attached our Fast Track Sewer System Extension Permit Application (FTA 04-16) and Flow
Tracking for Sewer Extension Applications (FTSE 10-18) for the above referenced project. The
appropriate information has been added by the Brunswick County Engineering Department.

Merry Shed, LLC is a proposed commercial business located at 1606 Hale Beach Road SW
(SR 1157) in Ocean Isle Beach, NC. The Tax ID number for the property is 243LD01603.
The total project area is 0.15 acres, and is currently a two car garage.
WASTEWATER COLLECTION (SEWER)
The existing garage will have a 16' x 12' addition added to the rear of the garage and the
proposed use will be a consignment shop and will have 2 employees. The total flow allocation
has been determined at 210 GPD.
It will consist of a duplex grinder station and force main as well as the gravity line for the
facility. The duplex grinder station will receive wastewater from the building via a 4" gravity
service line. Upon satisfactory completion of construction, all portions of the sewer system
will be owned and maintained by the owner.
The grinder station will pump wastewater via 76 LF of 1-1/4-inch force main to the Right of
Way line and then change by reducer/increaser to 2" to the point of connection at the existing
Brunswick County Force Main on Hale Beach Road in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. The
point of connection is a permitted 4-inch force main along Hale Beach Road that is owned by
Brunswick County. A portable emergency generator will be utilized to supply power to the
lift station in the event of a power failure.

the volume of wastewater to be permitted in this project has been evaluated along the route to the receiving
wastewater treatment facility and that the flow from this project is not anticipated to cause any capacity
related sanitary sewer overflows or overburden any downstream pump station en route to the receiving
treatment plant under normal circumstances, given the implementation of the planned improvements
identified in the planning assessment where applicable. This analysis has been performed in accordance
