Project Narrative
Lift Station Reset
Site 4
MCB Camp Lejeune, NC
There are three existing wastewater pump stations located in the general vicinity of the MCAS
midfield area. Two of these pump stations currently pump to the third station. This project
proposes to delete the two upstream pump stations and connect them to the same third pump
station by gravity. The end result will be all of the same water flowing to the same discharge
point by gravity instead of the two pumping systems.
There will not be any new flow associated with this project. There will be 874 linear feet of 8-
inch PVC gravity sewer main constructed by this project. The surviving pump station will be AS
488 while the two existing pump stations to be replaced by the gravity main will be SAS 491 and
AS 499.
The flow from the two upstream pump stations is associated with aircraft engine test cell
concrete slabs where the rainwater runoff flows through existing oil water separators.
