Rob
Thank you for meeting with us earlier today to review constructability concerns at several PFSHs located on this project.
The purpose of this email is to confirm our findings and summarize proposed construction at some of the devices:
Station 271+50 Rt .1 i
-Construction of this device was affected by lack of adequate right-of-way (PDE) and the presence of a perennial stream
immediately below the device. The Department has constructed the following:
• The rip rap basin portion of the PFSH was constructed per the appropriate depth (2 ft) and 2:1 slope. However,
the appropriate bottom width (4.5 ft) could not be constructed to the full dimension due to the above-mentioned
limiting factors. The PSRM edge of device was constructed.
Station 281+00 Rt ...
-Construction this device will be affected by the lack of adequate right-of-way. The Department proposes to conduct the
following:
• Construct a rectangular-shaped PFSH-like structure to fit within the limited right-of-way. The Department
proposes to meet the area that would be constructed if using the appropriate detail bottom width (5 ft), depth (2 ft)
and 2:1 slope. The PSRM edge of device will be constructed.
Station 320+60 Lt
-This device will be constructed in a maintained, grassed area adjacent to a bank. A small swale is located
approximately 75 ft from the pipe outfall. The Department proposes to conduct the following:
• This basin portion of the device will be fully constructed per the appropriate detail dimensions: bottom width=5 ft,
depth=2 ft and 2:1 slope. The PSRM edge will not be constructed.
Thanks for your assistance.
