WFT DERR - WATER QUALITY
S AV STQRA( ATER BRANCH
We are providing this letter in response to your Request For More Information provided on
September 2, 2009 regarding DWQ Project #2008-1658v2. We have included the
information requested in your letter and we offer the following information in response to
the comment proved:
1. We have included a completed Infiltration Basin Supplement Form and all items on
the checklist not provided with the previous submittal.
2. We have indicated the roof area to be treated by the infiltration basin. The area
being treated (625 sgft) is fully accommodated in the proposed infiltration basin
design and exceeds the area of the proposed impacts (447 sqft).
3. We have included more detail regarding the hydraulic device that will convey the
stormwater runoff from the rooftop to the basin including the proposed bypass
overflow from the side of the grit chamber into a bypass swale.
4. We have removed the vegetated area upslope of the infiltration basin. The
proposed basin is over the area of suitable soil which runs at a consistent depth
below the surface. We have also located the basin as far as possible from the
proposed structure to minimize any adverse impacts.
5. We have indicated the surface of the basin will be planted with grass.
6. We have included a CD with the proposed stormwater plan in TIFF format.
Please advise should you require additional information in support of this application. We
appreciate your time and assistance regarding this matter.
Sincerely,
WJTHERS cS? RAVENEL, INC

III. REQUIRED ITEMS CHECKLIST
Please indicate the page or plan sheet numbers where the supporting documentation can be found. An incomplete submittal package will
result in a request for additional information. This will delay final review and approval of the project. Initial in the space provided to
indicate the following design requirements have been met. If the applicant has designated an agent, the agent may initial below. If a
requirement has not been met, attach justification.
Pagel Plan
In'tials Sheet No.
1. Plans (1" - 50' or larger) of the entire site showing:
- Design at ultimate build-out,
- Off-site drainage (if applicable),
- Delineated drainage basins (include Rational C coefficient per basin},
- Basin dimensions,
- Pretreatment system,
- High flow bypass system,
- Maintenance access,
- Proposed drainage easement and public right of way (ROW),
- Overflow device, and
- Boundaries of drainage easement.

- Inlet and outlet structures.
4. A table of elevations, areas, incremental volumes & accumulated volumes to verify the volume provided.
J?
?/ 5. A soils report that is based upon an actual field investigation, soil borings, and infiltration tests. The
?? results of the soils report must be verified in the field by DWQ, by completing & submitting the soils
investigation request form. County soil maps are not an acceptable source of soils information.
6. A construction sequence that shows how the infitlration basin will be protected from sediment until the
entire drainage area is stabilized.
7. The supporting calculations.
8. A copy of the signed and notarized operation and maintenance (0&M) agreement.
