On September 9, 2019 a site inspection was conducted for the Engine Systems, Inc. facility located at the
175 Freight Road Facility, Nash County, North Carolina. A copy of the Compliance Inspection Report is
enclosed for your review. The site visit and file review revealed that the subject facility is covered by
NPDES Stormwater General Permit-NCG030000, Certificate of Coverage-NCG030560. Permit coverage
authorizes the discharge of stormwater from the facility to receiving waters designated as Stony Creek, a
Class C;NSW waterbody in the Tar -Pamlico River Basin.
As a result of the inspection, the facility was found to be in compliance with the conditions of the
NCG030000 permit. Please refer to the enclosed Compliance Inspection Report for additional comments
and observations made during the inspection.
Please be advised that violations of the NPDES Stormwater General Permit are subject to a civil
penalty assessment of up to $25,000 per day for each violation. If you or your staff has any

Inspection Summary.
The record retention was very detailed and well documented. Allowable non stormwater discharges include air condition
condensate which does not present a problem and does not need to be sampled if they don't have added chemicals, This is
a very well maintained facility with all documentation maticulously kept. Thank you for making my job easier

Comment: All the__required documentation is in order and has been very well kept. Spill events have been
documented but need to be sure to folow permit and report any spill over 25 gallons, a s ill within
100ft of surface water, a spill regardless of amount that, causes a sheen on surface waters or
any oils ill that can't be cleaned up within 24 hours
