Enclosed for your review and comment is the draft Phase II NPDES Stormwater
Permit for the town of Brookford. Following an appropriate public notice and comment
period, we anticipate this permit will become effective in the 4th quarter of 2004.
We believe that this draft permit will provide your community with the flexibility
vital for your community, while at the same time safeguarding and protecting our natural
environment for future generations of North Carolinians.

The Division of Water Quality's Stormwater and General Permits Unit hereby acknowledges receipt of
your NPDES Phase II Stormwater permit application package on March 17, 2003. The submitted package
contained the required form SWU-264 and comprehensive stormwater program narrative. However,
there is also a $715.00 application fee required. Application processing will not be delayed, but please
remit a check payable to NC DENR, by April 1, 2003.
This application has been assigned application number NCS000418. Please include this number with all
future correspondence.
