RE: City of Raleigh Stormwater Program
Neuse River Resource Recovery Facility
NPDES Permit #0029033
Dear Mr. Denton,
This letter is to notify you that the City of Raleigh Neuse River Resource Recovery Facility (NRRRF) has
had four exceedances for TSS on SDO #2 and SDO #4 between May 2016 and October 2017. We have
major construction in the area of these SDO's. The contractor and City of Raleigh have implemented
specific inspections for these areas as well as program audits in order to improve the stormwater quality.
Inspections occur every two weeks and findings and recommendations will be communicated and
addressed accordingly. We have begun sampling these areas monthly and will continue until we have 3
consecutive sampling events with TSS below the limit.
The City of Raleigh is also developing a scope of services with an engineering firm that includes
improvements to the current stormwater system and plan.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at (919) 796-7843 or
mar] a.dalton a,raleighnc.gov.
Sincerely,
Alw-
