Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SP3) — need to update each page in the plan that has a date or an item with needed changes, such as contact persons, etc. Conduct Qualitative Monitoring — I've attached a guidance document on the monitoring Employee Training — conduct stormwater (spill prevention, etc.) training annually and document this for the SP3 The SP3 notebook that you currently have contains the required components, it just needs updating. NCG0800794 Nash County Dear Ms. Godwin: On June 21, 2011, a Compliance Evaluation Inspection (CEI) was conducted at the subject facility by Mandy Hall of the Raleigh Regional Office. The assistance of Mr. Clint Carter and Mr. Jim Frei of Stormwater Services Group was helpful and appreciated. This inspection was conducted to determine compliance with the subject stormwater general permit. The following observations were noted during the inspection: SITE DESCRIPTIOf4 The YRC site is located at 555 Jeffreys Road in Rocky Mount, NC. There are two outfalls at the rear of the property. INSPECTION SUMMARY The subject permit expires October 31, 2012. Review of the outfall and records for the general permit indicate the facility and stormwater discharge outfall (SDO) are well -maintained and the facility is in compliance will all requirements of the permit. The following observations were noted during the inspection., SITE DESCRIPTION The McLane Company, a supply chain distribution service, is located on Hwy 48 outside of the community of Gold Rock in Nash County, NC. INSPECTION SUMMARY The subject permit expires October 31, 2012. A review of the recordkeeping, sampling, etc., of the facility indicated improvement is needed with regards to updating the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SP3), Qualitative Monitoring, documentation of employee training and emergency contact list. Your on -site secondary containment, analytical monitoring and stormwater outfali maintenance is compliant with the requirements of the permit. We understand that there has been a change in management and therefore, we are pleased to be able to provide you with Technical Assistance in bringing your facility into compliance with permit requirements. Mrs. Hall has scheduled a visit with Mr. Gibbs for July 19, 2011. This permit expires on August 31, 2002. The Division staff is currently in the process of rewriting this permit and is scheduled to have the permit reissued by late summer of 2002. Please note that recent federal legislation has extended the "no exposure exclusion" to all operators of industrial facilities in any of the I I categories of "storm water discharges associated with industrial activity," (except construction activities). If you feel your facility can certify a condition of "no exposure", i.e. the facilty industrial materials and operations are not exposed to stormwater, you can apply for the no exposure exclusion.
