Under our facility's general NPDES general storm water permit NCG030000, effective December 4, 2012, we are required to submit quantitative results for two rainfall events annually on Outfall #1. We must record and keep on file for inspection qualitative results semi- annually. In April 2018, we requested a meeting with DWQ to evaluate a second retention pond built for a plant addition. The results of the meeting added a second outfall to our sampling parameters. Included in this submittal are the results of this sampling. Our storm water permit was re -issued and effective November 2018 and we are now sampling to the new requirements. If you have any questions pertaining to this submittal, please give me a call at 252-754-1765. Under our facility's general NPDES general storm water permit NCG030000, effective December 4, 2012, we are required to submit quantitative results for two rainfall events annually on Outfall #1 and record and keep on file for inspection qualitative results semi- annually. Sampling at our plant has resulted in zinc levels above benchmark value. We have contracted with Matt Wallace, Principal Engineer at Amec Wheeler Foster Environment & infrastructure in Ashville, NC to continue to evaluate the site for possible conditions that could be contributing to these results and work on potential corrective measures to lower our zinc results. Additionally, Bill Moore, our regional NCDEQ at the Department of Environmental Quality Land Resources, has been contacted to review our results and assist us in obtaining a waiver from the current total zinc benchmark. Please find attached the semi-annual storm water discharge monitoring reports and analytical results for period 1 & 2 in 2016, for ASMO Greenville of North Carolina, Inc., COC NCG030465. F)LF Mr,r1 — - Please find attached the semi-annual storm water discharge monitoring report and analytical results for period 1 in 2014, for ASMO Greenville of North Carolina, Inc., COC NCG030465. Under our facility's general NPDES general storm water permit NCG030000, effective December 4, 2012, we are required to submit quantitative results for two rainfall events annually on Outfall #1 and record qualitative results semi-annually for inspection. As a result of two consecutive results over benchmark values for total recoverable zinc, we increased our sampling to monitor total recoverable zinc levels. Results from the sampling events at our facility's designated outfall, show a steady decrease in zinc levels. Our July sampling event shows below benchmark levels. Per our permit requirements we will continue monthly monitoring and continue with our activities to further reduce sources of zinc in our storm water in order to maintain below benchmark values. If you have any questions pertaining to this submittal, please give me a call at 252-754-1765.
