CORCORAN 33 Stoneykirk Drive Pinehurst, North Carolina 28374 (910) 215-0763 January 19, 1996 Wilmington District Engineer Corps of Engineers Department of the Army PO Box 1890 Wilmington, NC 28402-1890 Attention: CESAW-CO-E Dear Sirs: Ya; '! Enclosed is a permit request to restore a small water inlet back to its original depth of four feet. Along with this permit is our neighbors', Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Tummes, permit request. They share the inlet with us. Sludge has built up in the area, changing the depth from 0 inches to 28 inches. This increase has been created by two factors: One, being the construction of two home sites, and the other, a culvert under Stoneykirk Drive. Environmental barriers were used by the builders, but two major spring storms broke through the fencing. The properties are now stabilized, and final landscaping around the inlet are pending the cleaning of the inlet. The area to be worked on in the inlet is approximately one-third of an acre. We expect the work to be done in two, possibly three days. Please call us if you have any questions. Thank you for the review of our request. cc: Mr. Chris Parillo, Pinewild Country Club Mr. Joel Kennedy, Reaves Landscaping Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Tummes, 35 Stoneykirk Drive Water Quality Planning, Division of Environmental Management NC Department of Environmental Health and Natural Resources PO Box 29535, Raleigh, NC 27626-0535 (Attn: Mr. John Dorney) Attachments: Plot Plans, 33 and 35 Stoneykirk Drive Landscaping design 33 and 35 Stoneykirk Drive Inlet photos Joint Forms for permit notification 1% .
