This permit is issued pursuant to the requirements of North Carolina General Statute 143-215.1 and the
Memorandum of Agreement between North Carolina and the US Environmental Protection Agency dated
October 15, 2007 (or as subsequently amended).
Please take notice that this certificate of coverage is not transferable except after notice to the Division of
Energy, Mineral, and Land Resources. The Division may require modification or revocation and
reissuance of the certificate of coverage.
This permit does not affect the legal requirements to obtain other permits which may be required by the
Division of Energy, Mining, and Land Resources, or permits required by the Division of Water

York Air Brake — Premtec Division previously held a stormwater discharge permit at our former
location in China Grove, NC. This location was closed, the permit has been rescinded, and all
operations have now been relocated to this new location.
In the course of reviewing the facilities operations, it was determined that there are exposed

Attached are three (3) copies of the NOI and supporting documents, which are our request for
coverage under General NPDES permit NCG050000. We have enclosed and a check for S 100
(application fee.)
This is a relatively new, existing location that has not previously held a stormwater permit. New
York Air Brake — Premtec Division previously held a stormwater discharge permit at our former
location in China Grove, NC. This location was closed, the permit has been rescinded, and all
operations have now been relocated to this new location.
In the course of reviewing the facilities operations, it was determined that there are exposed
materials and operations that necessitate our application for coverage under the general discharge
permit for our industry.
The primary industrial activity at this facility is the manufacture of rubber hose and rubber coated
products, primarily used in air brake components.
