HomeMy WebLinkAboutFS-1703A Public Notice.pdfNCDOT TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING FOR PROPOSED REPLACEMENT OF HEIDE TRASK BRIDGE NEW HANOVER COUNTY STIP PROJECT NO. FS-1703A The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting regarding a feasibility study evaluating the proposed replacement of Drawbridge No. 12, the C. Heide Trask Memorial Bridge, which connects the City of Wilmington and the Town of Wrightsville Beach via U.S. 74 (Wrightsville Avenue) / U.S. 76 (Causeway Drive). This study also evaluates potential intersection improvements at the intersection of U.S. 74 (Salisbury Street) and U.S. 76 (Causeway Drive). The public meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 21 at the Wrightsville Beach Recreation Center located at 4 Russ Drive, Wrightsville Beach. There will be an open house from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. during which the public may drop in at any time. A presentation will be given directly following the open house at 6:30 p.m. NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and listen to comments regarding the project. The opportunity to submit comments will also be provided at the meeting or via phone, email, or mail by June 7. Comments received will be taken into consideration as the project develops. Project information and materials can be viewed as they become available online at www.ncdot.gov/news/public-meetings.
