Dear Mr.Weaver,
Please accept this correspondence as a formal request to rescind coverage of the above
referenced facility under the general NPDES Permit NCG 510000. The groundwater pump
and treat system has been shut down since October of 2004.
Since, it is unlikely that additional groundwater remediation and subsequent discharge of
treated water will occur in any reasonable time frame in the foreseeable future, Couch Oil
Company respectfully requests that the permit be rescinded at the facility. Please forward
acknowledgement of this request as soon as possible so that our records may be updated
and the file closed.
