I hope you are well. Please find below our June and July pumping update.
Castle Hayne Quarry (NPDES Permit NCG020010)
Pumping continues at Castle Hayne Quarry. Discharge continues through the normal discharge system. An
estimated 350 million gallons of water were pumped from the flooded pit in June and July 2019. Pumping slowed
due to challenges encountered on the pit floor. Bi-monthly updates will continue for Castle Hayne Quarry until
normal water levels are observed. Please get in touch with me if you have any questions on this matter.
