SUBJECT: Soule Property
After discussions with property owner concerning the barn structure on the Soule property and its
usage, we were able to determine the following:
1) The original phase of the barn was built somewhere around 1900. This was one of the smaller
phases and the structure was used primarily for storage.
2) There were 2 more phases added to the barn — Phase 2 around 1930-1935 and Phase 3
sometime between 1940-1950.
3) With the addition of Phases 2 and 3, the barn was used for the management of small amount of
livestock (primarily cows) and storage of tractors and various farm implements that were
needed for day to day operation of the farm.
Our plans for the barn are to dismantle it and reuse the material as hardwood flooring and siding for
use in residential/commercial construction. I am also attaching several pictures of the barn for your
benefit.
