This information was presented in the permit modification request and PCN dated 04/02/19. This involved an increase in buffer and wetland impacts and additional mitigation for wetland impacts. Planning for this extra easement since has been dropped and Duke Energy would now like to relocate their line within the R/W limits on the west side of the roadway (see attached for updated UO-2 sheet). Notice on the north side of the stream new power pole locations are outside of jurisdictional areas. On the south side of the stream, two power poles will be outside of the buffers but within the toe protection area which is already permitted as fill in wetlands. The guys and anchors of these two poles would extend within the permitted mechanized clearing in wetland area. The overhead lines and proposed maintained utility corridor is completely within the previously permitted buffer footprint. Since this area is already fully permitted and wetland impacts have been mitigated, this utility line relocation proposal would not require another permit modification.
