Mr. Pullinger,
This email is a follow up to our conversation concerning the Janice Olsen project at 206 Waterside Drive in Harbinger,
NC. I further reference the 7/20/19 hold that DWR has placed on the Major CAMA permit application submitted on her
behalf to fill jurisdictional wetlands on her property. In that 7/20 letter you requested further justification and
explanation related to avoidance and minimization of wetlands impacts associated with the project. On 7/23,
1 provided a response to your request on behalf of Ms. Olsen, and you have also received correspondence from Ms.
Olsen, and from neighbors in the community supporting her proposed project. In our last conversation you indicated to
me that you were going to reach out to the US Army Corps of Engineers to discuss your relative positions on the project
and I hope you have been able to do that.
For the reasons outlined above, I would appreciate it if you will you advise on the status of your review. If you need
additional information, etc. please let me know but it seem somewhat unfair to Ms. Olsen to leave the project on long
term hold without further clarification from DWR as to additional required actions. If our response is satisfactory for a
decision by DWR I also request that your remove the hold and let the project review proceed.
