Facility has a site -specific SWPPP, which was last updated in October 2018.
What type of stormwater training do facility employees receive? How often?
Training videos. Annually in July.
Inspector Training/Knowledge
What type of stormwater training does the MS4 inspector receive? How often?
Training videos. Yearly meetings with Division 6 & Division 3 team leaders.
Did the MS4 inspector appear knowledgeable about Permit requirements for pollution prevention and good housekeeping?
Somewhat. Has only been on the job for five months. Previously with Division 5 in different role.
Did the MS4 inspector appear knowledgeable about stormwater pollution prevention and good housekeeping?
Somewhat. Mentioned items such as preventing chemicals from entering stream, monitoring, proper storage, having spill kits and
covering containers, oil/water separator in parking areas, checking outfalls.

Yes. Facility has standardized forms/checklists for semi-annual site observations, qualitative monitoring, non-stormwater

Yes. Annually.
Does the MS4 inspector's process include walking the entire facility and inspecting all points of discharge?
Yes. Due to the facility's size and number of outfalls (14), inspector may observe different areas on different days or utilize other
facility staff.
Did the MS4 inspector miss any obvious areas of concern? If so, explain:
No.
Does the MS4 inspector's process include presenting the inspection findings to the facility contact?
Yes. Should there be any issues or areas of concern, they are reported to unit supervisor and/or team member responsible. Also,
each unit conducts their own monthly observations and reports any issues to the County Maintenance Engineer.

Notes/Comments/Recommendations
During the audit, routine observations were made by the M54 inspectors of and around a transformer, a large generator, the
maintenance shop, wash bay with trench drains leading to an oil/water separator tied to sanitary sewer, several catch basins and
some of the outfalls.
