Per our conversation this morning, I have informed the contractor that they can cleanup up the sediment loss in the
stream on the above-mentioned project.
Overnight, the project received a heavy rainfall that lasted approximately 45 minutes. The silt fence and check dam area
was overwhelmed and approximately three 5-gallon buckets of sediment was deposited at the inlet corner of the new
culvert. The material did not make its way inside of the culvert. The location of the loss is permit site #2, which has a
jurisdictional stream, some sediment did get in the stream. The contractor had started cleaning the area outside of the
wingwall and we agreed it was ok for them to clean the area in the stream. I have attached a picture showing the area of
sediment loss.
