Salem Leasing Corporation is a commercial property consisting of 10.725 acres, which
are to be graded and improved for the construction of a truck rental and service facility.
This project is located at 220 Delray Street in Statesville, Iredell County. The disturbed
area is 10.725 acres. There are no wetlands on site and the pre -construction Q10 is 31.82
cfs (Q10=CiA, where C=0.40, i=6.80 in/hour, A=11.7 acres). The project is located in the
Third Creek drainage basin. Third Creek is a Class C stream. The Classification Index
Number for Weathers Creek is 12-108-20-4 as published on July 31, 1998, by the
Division of Water Resources, North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality.
The site was previously graded and stabilized in 2002 in accordance with a Letter of
Approval with Modifications, Project ID: IREDE-2002-091, dated June 25, 2002, by
Land Quality Section, Division of Land Resources, North Carolina Department of
Environment and Natural Resources. The current objective of the stormwater
management plan is to confine stormwater runoff from the site improvements and direct
the runoff to the forebay of a wet detention basin by sheet flow to a series of existing
drop inlet structures, which discharge into the forebay.
Predominate soils in this area are Cecil Sandy Loam, Cecil Sandy Clay Loam, and Cecil -
Urban Land Complex.
