To whom it may concern:

I am responding to the enclosed NOV on behalf of the City of Saluda WWTP. The ORC, Trevor
McMinn, was made aware of the NOV issue on August 9th, 2019 and immediately began taking
corrective action. A new airline was constructed to the Chlorine contact/effluent to raise the
Dissolved Oxygen. As of August 12, 2019 the D.O. had come up to 5.3 mg/L which in within the
permitted limits. The permit limit for the effluent D.O. are new to the Saluda WWTP NPDES
Permit. Please allow us a few months to comply as we have already taken the corrective action
and taken steps to remedy this situation. June and July 2019 also show this problem
intermittently. Every effort is being made to correct the issue.
