The purpose of the evaluation was to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Permit WQCS00100. Derek Williams, ORC, Chad Sutton, ORC of WWTP, Chuck Falls, Assistant Public Services Director, and collection system staff were present during the inspection. Records were readily available, organized and complete. The Town continues to improve the operation of the collection system. Since the last inspection, the smoke testing of the entire system was completed and 160 cleanouts were maintained as a result. Older pump stations are being upgraded; PS 16 & 17 last year, PS 20 is scheduled for this year and PS 6 &7 are due next year. Money is allocated in the Capital Improvement Plan each year for GIS mapping to update the current paper maps. This year, software was implemented for the documentation of CCTV camera operations. The Town of Morehead City is compliant with collection system permit WQCS00100. Please review the comment sections of the inspection report for more details.
