Subject: Proposed Fill in Headwaters or Isolated Wetlands
Woodcroft subdivision
Nash County

Upon review of your request for Water Quality Certification
to place fill material in wetlands adjacent to a tributary to
Compass Creek substantially modifying approximately 1.49 acres of
wetlands, we have determined that the proposed fill can be
covered by General Water Quality Certification No. 2176 issued
November 4, 1987. A copy of the General Certification is
attached. This Certification may be used in qu~lifying for
coverage under Corps of Engineers' Nationwide Permit No. 26.

Our office has prepared subdivision plans for property
located on Greyson Road in Rocky Mount. There is a ditch
running through the middle of the property that is a
tributary to Compass Creek. I would like to request a 401
Certification for this ditch.
