FTA Narrative
RiverLights Development
Watercraft Ferry Avenue Extension
Wilmington, New Hanover County
June 2019
NNP IV - • Fear River, LLC is proposing to develop a 1,329.4 acre tract • land along River
Road.. In this phase of development, NNP-IV Cape Fear River, LLC is proposing to construct a
road • that will connect existing Marina Village (WQ0038060) to Conventional Phase I
(WQ0038060MOD) along with two roadways to • the proposed road to existing River
Road. The nature of this ETA submittal is to permit a public system consisting of • sewer
to service future • within the Watercraft Ferry Avenue Extension project •
The gravity sewer is proposed to be installed at this time to facilitate roadway construction and
no service taps will be made until a permit modification is applied by the future development.
NNP IV - Cape Fear River, LLC will install the gravity sewer. The Cape Fear Public Utility
Authority (CFPUA) will own and maintain the system. Currently, existing 10" gravity sewer
was installed as part of the Marina Village project to convey wastewater from Marina Village
back to pump station No. I (WQ0038060) located in Conventional Phase I. Conventional Phase
I was a modification to this permit (WQ0038060MOD). At this time, the proposed project is
anticipated to be a modification to this project, and future development along these roads will
require a permit modification to be allowed to convey flows through the proposed gravity
sewer along Sandalwood Way and Harpswell Plaza.
8" PVC gravity sewer main will be installed throughout the proposed development and
• to the existing 10 PVC gravity already installed along Watercraft Ferry Avenue.
This new gravity system is designed in accordance with the NCDENR minimum design
criteria. Appropriate horizontal and vertical clearances will be provided when proximal to the
proposed storm drainage system and the proposed water system. The gravity sewer will be
certified in accordance with state regulations and the permit conditions.
