D. Impact Justification and Mitigation
1. Avoidance and Minimization
1a. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing the project.*
The e)asting onsite septic system was abandoned and moved to allow for further
avoidance within the Tar -Pamlico Riparian Buffer. The porch and associated steps
that encroached into the buffer would comply with Buffer Clarification/interpretation
Memo 2007-002.
1b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques.*
Appropriate sediment and erosion control measures will be employed during the
home construction. The existing maintained lawn that is lost during construction
activities will be reestablished.
E. Diffuse Flow Plan
1a. What type of SCM are you providing?*
r Level Spreader
I— Vegetated Conveyance (lower SHWT)
F', Wetland Swale (higher SH1/Vf)
r7 Proposed project will not create concentrated stormwater flowthrough the
buffer
PF Other SCM that removed minimum of 30% nitrogen
1b. Describe how diffuse flow will be maintained:*
Any stormwater generated from the new impervious associated with the home
construction will be collected in and treated through the ebsting riparian buffer. The
