A copy of the General Certification is attached. This Certification may be used in qualifying for coverag- under Corps of Engineers' Nationwide Permit No. 26. Singleton Post Office Box 1208 Washington, North Carolina 27889 Dear Mr. Singleton: Reference your meeting of February 25, 1986, with Mr. Ken Jolly of my staff on your property at the corner of River Road and Mimosa Shores Road in Washington, Beaufort County, North Carolina. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss your proposed fill work on this tract and an adjoining tract owned by Ms. Agnes Williamson. The property owned by•Ms. Williamson consists entirely of wooded high ground. Your property also consists of high ground with the exception of a wooded wetland pocket in the southwest corner of the tract. Mr. Jolly flagged-off the limits of this wetland during your meeting for your reference. A Department of the Army permit will not be required for all fill activities restricted to high ground. In addition, a Federal permit will also not be required to relocate the drainage ditch on-site to the present property line along the southern border of your property. Please note, however, that any discharge of excavated or fill material into the wetland pocket on your property will require prior Department of the Army permit authorization pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act.
