Upon review of your request for Water Quality
Certification to place fill material in an isolated wetlands
area near Ogden, we have determined that the proposed fill
can be covered by General Water Quality Certification No.
2176 issued November 4, 1987. A copy of the General
Certification is attached. This Certification may be used
in qualifying for coverage under Corps of Engineers'
Nationwide Permit No. 26.

Dear Mr. Wyant:

On August 27, 1987, you and Mr. Jabe Hardee met with Mr. Hugh
Heine of my staff regarding your client's plans to develop
property off Pages Creek near Ogden, New Hanover County, North
Carolina.
Your client plans to develop the 54.57-acre Cameron Bayshore
tract between Bayshore Drive and U.S. Highway 17. During this
meeting, the wetlands which have been surveyed were walked. After
taking several measurements with a 100-foot-tape and checking the'
scaled drawing, it was found that the plat dated August 25, 1987,
appeared to accurately depict the Corps' regulatory jurisdiction.
Please note, this letter is only for the 54.57-acre tract, .
not for that property between U.S. Highway 17 and this property.
Before any work takes place on the commercial property, the
wetlands will need to be flagged and surveyed.
