Upon review of your request for Water Quality
Certification to place fill in waters and/or wetlands in a
tributary to Little Creek, we have determined that the
proposed fill can be covered by General Water Quality
Certification No. 2177 issued November 4, 1987. A copy of
the General Certification is attached. This Certification.
may be used in qualifying for coverage under Corps of
Engineers' Nationwide Permit No. 14.

Dear Mr. Mills:
I talked with you Tuesday afternoon about making an application for
a 401 Water Quality Certification. Our project, The Oaks III, is
located along the edge of the Corps of Engineers easement for Little
Creek, a tributary of Lake Jordan.
Jeff Richter of the Corps Wilmington District office made a field
inspection of the area on Tuesday. He said that the area was marginal
wetlands and that we shouldn't have any problems with permits from the
Corps of Engineers.
I have enclosed a site plan/topographic map of the project area. Please
call me if you have any questions.
