Dear Sir:
Attached is a location map and two copies of our drawing
for a proposed stream crossing near Durham, North Carolina.
This crossing application is made on behalf of MCI Telecom-
munications Corporation. They willbe installing one four
inch split PVC pipe below the stream bed to house a new
fiber optic cable being buried between Durham and Raleigh.
DESCRIPTION OF CROSSING:
Crossing No 1.
Stream name unnamed
at State Route 1945 right of way.
Method of construction: Machine trench and/or machine backhoe
Depth of installation: 48 inches minimum
Backfill material: Select clean soil, sand or gravel depending
on bottom makeup.
Stream bottom contours and adjacent slope areas to b~ restored
to their original shape and slopes to be re-seeded with appro-
priate vegitation.
