Installation of Temporary Treatment Equipment

Dear Ms. Grzyb:
Duke Energy respectfully submits notification no later than 14 calendar days prior to start-up of
installation of temporary additional treatment at wastewater outfall 007, as per Condition C.(9.)
for the purposes of decanting and dewatering of the ash basin. A sand filter system will be
installed to the existing pumping operations.
